More Thoughts on the Kona Half-Marathon

The marathon begins at 5:30 in the morning and the half-marathon begins at 6:00 am.   In Hawaii, it’s still dark at that hour.  I am thankful it started so early.  Otherwise, heat would have been unbearable.  It was almost unbearable as it was.  The course is open for nine hours which makes it nice for those who don’t run too fast.

All-in-all, running the Kona Half-Marathon was a memorable experience and the island–truly paradise.
